WINCHESTER: (1997 - 1999)

1997

- With little or no musical experience, just learning how to play their instruments, Winchester begin as a five piece cover band. Marc Fagan on lead vocals, John Rolls on backing vocals, Danny Pink on guitar, Stephen Greene on bass and backing vocals, and Derek Pink on Drums.
- A few months after they start Marc Fagan leaves the band. John Rolls takes over the lead vocal position.
- Danny Pink leaves the band. John takes over the guitar position.
- Marc Fagan reunites with the band to become lead vocalist. John Rolls remains guitarist but takes the backing vocals position.

1998

- Trent Browne joins the band but is fired two weeks later.
- A few months after Trent Browne was fired Stephen Green was also fired.
- Winchester are for the first time without a bassist but continue playing; noticing an obvious empty sound in the band.
- Marc Fagan is fired as lead vocalist, John Rolls again takes over the lead vocalist position.
- John McCrowe is hired as the new bassist.
- The band begin's to loose control of the members of the band and starts to fall apart.
- John McCrowe is fired as the bassist.
- Winchester are again a two piece band and search for a bassist.
- Brad Lannon is hired on as bassist with no experience but the band has a certain notion that he is the person for the job. Were they right...? Yes they were .... or were they?
- Winchester hire Mitch McGrath as lead guitarist. He is fired one month later.

1999

- Winchester play their first gig as a three piece band accompanied by Barry Davis, lead guitarist of Access, at Laval High School more than two years after they began.
- Winchester compete at a battle of the bands.
- Winchester get mixed reviews after a two night stand in Dunville. The band again questions the composition of the band.
- Marc Fagan is once again hired back, this time as rhythm guitarist.
- Marc becomes lead vocalist for the third time.
- After a number of performances Winchester begin to notice that they are once again falling apart.
- Brad Lannon suggests a possible addition to Winchester. The band begins jamming with Chris Elliot.
- Long time front-man John Rolls leaves the band.
- Winchester hire Chris Elliot as lead guitarist.
- Marc, Brad, and Derek perform as a three-piece opening act for The Visions.
- Winchester perform again in Duneville and receive bad reviews for their short three-song-set and are disappointed with their work.
- Winchester take a brake to re-organize the band and come up with some new material for their shows.
- Winchester perform the new material for the first time. "No Relief" is performed and receive great reviews.
- After the great response for their performance at the P4, the band decides to try and hit the mark again. They write a new song called "My Angel".
- The band records a rough, ten song CD in a local gymnasium.
- Winchester perform at a benifit show and end up playing four encore songs.
- The members believe that with a new line up, a new repertoire, and a new image they should get a new name. After many weeks of arguing the band decides on a name.
ERUPTION: (1999 - 2002)

1999

- The band performs under the name Eruption at a battle of the bands.
- Eruption perform at their high school for the first time since their first show when they were still know as Winchester.
- Eruption is asked to perform at the Marquise Theater; the site of their debut as Eruption.
- Eruption perform at their high school again accompinied by Barry Davis.
- The official Eruption web site launches.
- The band has their first newspaper article written about them.
- Eruption perform their first show with an opening act. Bent performs as the opening act. Eruption take the stage and perform Metallica's "Enter Sandman".

2000

- Last Man on Earth is written after a long jam session.
- Eruption play a string of shows at their high school.
- Brad, Chris, and Derek perform a very short set as a three piece band at a local mall.
- Eruption begins an entire five months of rehersing. They gather new material for shows in the winter of 2000.
- Fall/ Winter 2000. Eruption prepare to record the debut album by writting some new songs.
- Eruption perform with special guest Aaron Hickey on lead guitar and recieve a standing ovation for their rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird".
- Aaron Hickey auditions for a perminent spot in the Eruption line-up and joins the band.

2001

- Aaron Hickey performs for the first time with Eruption since joining the band.
- Eruption completely overhall the bands material and prepare for future shows.
- The members of Eruption become involved in a musical production on the history of rock n' roll.
- Eruption perform a number of shows at the Rendez - vous.
- Brad Lannon is fired from Eruption.
- Former Winchester bassist Steve Greene is hired as the new bassist for Eruption.
- Members of Eruption join Buskerfest 2001 along with other local traditional performers.
- Steve Greene plays his first show with Eruption. Aaron Hickey was not there.
- Marc Fagan leaves the band.
- Remaining members of Eruption search for a new lead singer for a new band.
- Brad Norman is hired as new lead singer.

2002

- Members of Eruption once again perform in a musical. The Life of John Patrick Murphy.
- The band announces they will finally call it quits in August.
- Derek disbands Eruption after five long years.
