Q: Where was the first Eruption gig?
A: The first Eruption show was at the Boardwalk Lounge.
Q: Is there a tablature for Eruption's songs?
A: Not that we know of.
Q: Have any of the members been in any other bands except for Eruption?
A: Yes.
Q: What kind of music does the band listen to? Do they listen to the same thing or do they have different intrests?
A: The band listens to everything from jazz to heavy metal.
Q: Where did the name come from for Winchester and Eruption?
A: When the band first started they went without a name for about four months until someone (as a joke) suggested Winchester after the popular guns and ammunition. When the band got Chris Elliott in the band they felt like a new band and decided to change the name. Marc suggested Eruption (Van Halen) to simbolize power and authority.
Q: Do the guys have any pre-show rituals or anything you do before you play?
A: Most of the band don't do anything special before the shows except organize their gear and soundcheck, but Derek has OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) so he always does a few things. Fo example, after everything is set up he goes out to where the crowd will be and sizes up the drum kit to make sure they are perfectly centered on the stage and everything is just right.
Note: If you really checked you'd see that Derek's set-up is the exact same, in the exact same spot every time, unless he hads something or chooses to move something for better positioning.
Q: Who writes the set lists?
A: Derek, but usually everyone contributes ideas for the set lists.
Q: Are there any plans for the band to end?
A: August, 2001 for a few guys and then the band is officially over August, 2002.
Q: Was Derek's brother in the original line up of Winchester?
A: Yes. He played guitar and bass.
Q: Why did Marc leave once and then come back only to get fired and re-hired again?
A: The first time Marc left the band was to persue other intrests. The reason he was fired is still a bit of a mystery to most people including Marc. The only information about him being fired deals with a refrence to a phrase coined by Eddie Van Halen when he refered to David Lee Roth's attitude. "He suffers from L.S.D. 'Lead Singer Disease.'" which is said to be slang for a self-proclaimed rock star.
Q: Can any of the members play any other instruments?
A: Probably.

FAQ OF THE MONTH:
Q: Where can I get somekind of Eruption recording? A: There are a number of practice tapes but they are not available to the public. There have been several performances video taped but they were done independantly and as far as we know are not in circulation. The only recorded CD was "Eye Candy" which was a crude recording done at a local gymnasium that included 8 cover songs and 2 originals and 2 sound bites of Marc. The band later recorded one of their shows a the Boardwalk Lounge. They are now working on original tracks for a possible album, this is proboably your best chance of obtaining a recording.
